Have 2013 1.6 CRDI SW had this issue for around 6 months now I will start the car and the idle will be rough with fluctuating revs and can see the rev needle moving up and down, also intermittently will do this when I come to a stop in traffic also, had it looked at whilst it was serviced a KIA Models. On Kia Ceed 1.6 Diesel Sept 2009 Gear Change from 1st to 2nd requires MUCH more force than 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th Clutch has to be pushed down fully on 1st to 2nd. Got round to getting the clutch replaced a few weeks ago. Took it to an independent and it only cost £387 compared to the £709 quoted by the dealer. Don’t know who manufactures the clutches fitted to new Kia’s but the garage fitted a Sachs clutch kit. .
